...but often wrong
I just sent Daphne a query, too. I hope she critiques it because right now it's getting me nowhere!
Okay, so if Kate already asked for the full, has she offered representation as well? Your query is obviously piquing interest!
You could do much worse than Kate for a lit agent. She gives so much of herself to helping aspiring writers on her blog, imagine what she does for her clients. Good luck, and great query!
Your query is fabulous. If I was an agent, I'd ask to read more. My query is still not right. Maybe I'll send it over to Daphne. I sent it to Query Shark's blog, but she hasn't reviewed it.Guess what. I've nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger Award on one of my blogs. Pop over there and have a look when you get a chance if you'd like. http://afortnightofmustard.blogspot.com/
Hi Guys! Thanks for the comments. Solvang--Good luck with your query. I hope you get some awesome advice! And no, Kate didn't offer representation. She gave me some great feedback but in the end, passed. I was SO disapointed that i couldn't even talk about it for a few days. After the initial let down went away, I was able to look at her comments with fresh eyes. I think they helped make my ms better so I can only be grateful. Tereliz--Yeah, you're right. Kate is awesome and I've learned so much from her blog. She has also featured a couple of my questions. Thanks for your comments on my query. I worked hard on it, but I still wonder if it's good enough. Amanda! Why oh why can't you be an agent? LOLAnd wow, thanks so much! I'm definitely going over to check it out! Thanks again.
After I saw your query on Daphne, I had a moment of bravery or complete stupidity. I sent mine too. I'll let you know when it's up. Actually, I'm sure you'll know. You'll hear my knees knocking across the blogoshpere!
Good luck! Send me a reminder anyway, so I can be sure to comment. And don't be so nervous, you'll definitely get some good feedback from Kate.
