Karen Rose

So as you all may know, my name is Karen Rose and there is also a well established author with the same name. As an aspiring writer, whenever I see one of her books in a store my first thought is, oooh, my name is on a book! My second thought is:

“John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt
His name is my name too
Whenever we go out, the people always shout
There goes JOHN JACOB JINGLEHEIMER SCHMIDT!
NA NA NA NA NA NA…”

That song has been in my freakin head all day! But it’s all good, because I’ve finally read one of Karen Rose’s books, Scream For Me, and it was very good!

I’m halfway through another of her books, I Can See You.

And I’m enjoying this one even more than the last. So Ms Rose is doing my name proud.

As much as I’d like to publish under my name, I’m fine using a pseudonym. If any of you like thrillers with lots of sexual tension that will leave you satisfied when it’s resolved, go check out Karen Rose’s books.

One day I’ll be saying that about my own book!

Thanks for the song! Now I can't get it out of my head. :D

The books do sound great. Wow, an adult book. I haven't read one of those in, like, a zabillion years.

I used to sing that song to my daughter all the time!

You could publish as Karen Denise Rose? (I think as long as it's a different genre, it's fine)

Love that song - but now it'll be stuck in my head for hours!!

It's bizarre having another with your name! I'm glad you like her stuff - it sounds fun - as long as I don't read it late at night :)

You've got that song in my head! I've never seen her books in the store but it must be pretty cool to see someone with the same name!

I'm so sorry that I got the song stuck in everyone's heads. And it's a never ending song too, so I'm sorry infinity-LOL! It is cool to see my name on a book, but it would be cooler if it was MY book!

My aunt gave my mom a cookbook with her name on the cover. We've all be laughing about it because no one in our family would be willing to eat many of the recipes although they are beautifully photographed :D I guess it's just hard to have a unique name. There's some actress with my name only she spells her last name Peterson. Mine is Petersen.

Hmm, maybe I'll write under the pseudonym of one of my favorite authors. Otherwise I'll probably never see my name on a book cover. LOL

Seriously, though, you could use your first and second initials with your last name. Might be good because your books will be shelved next to Ms. Rose's in the book store.
